Overview

AnyHUD ("the app") is a macOS wallpaper and screensaver application. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how it is used. We take privacy seriously and collect only what is necessary for the app to function.

Data We Collect

Network requests to public APIs

Some views (Crypto Bubbles, Crypto Chart) fetch publicly available market data from third-party APIs. These requests originate from your device and do not include any personal identifiers. We do not operate or control the data returned by these APIs.

Local preferences

The app stores your selected view and first-launch state locally on your device, inside the app's sandbox container. This data never leaves your Mac.

System information

The System Monitor view reads CPU, memory, and network usage from the local operating system. This data is displayed on-screen only and is never transmitted anywhere.

Data We Do Not Collect

  • No personal information (name, email, location)
  • No analytics or crash reporting
  • No advertising identifiers
  • No data shared with third parties
  • No account required

Third-Party APIs

Market data views connect to public cryptocurrency and financial data APIs. The app does not send any user data to these services — requests contain only the query parameters needed to retrieve the displayed data (e.g. a currency symbol). Please refer to the respective providers' privacy policies for details on how they handle incoming requests.

Data Retention

All locally stored preferences are kept on your device and can be removed at any time by uninstalling the app. No data is retained on our servers because no data is sent to our servers.

Children's Privacy

AnyHUD does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app contains no features directed at children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
